Rotary International, UNICEF and the Heartstrings Exhibit: Connection to the World’s Children
Rotary International is thrilled about UNICEF’s exciting new exhibit, Heartstrings: Connection to the World’s Children. The new, interactive, and immersive exhibit curated by UNICEF-USA brings the global challenges faced by children and youth to the forefront. The multi-city exhibit has traveled to Houston, Atlanta, Boston and Chicago.
The exhibit represents a collaborative effort to connect communities with the realities of children around the world. The first part of the exhibit addresses birth to a few years old, and what it’s like being a child, as a way to connect people to the things that are important for children in those first 1,000 days of their lives.
Other sections explore themes such as education and the importance of being heard. Rotary International is featured as a partner at the exhibit entryway and on the Heart Strings website. Through the great support of District Governors in the designated cities, Rotarians and Rotaractors have had the opportunity to visit the exhibit and to share their pride of our polio eradication efforts.
